These winches are for use on flagpoles with butt diameters of 6" or larger. These gearless winches utilize cast bronze internal brakes which release when a winch handle is inserted and rotational pressure is applied. The winch will lock in any position by removing the handle which engages the brake system. This is the small size winch it is used on flagpoles up to 45ft. It will be mounted inside the flagpole with two stainless steel steel bolts with mounting centers be 3 1/2". Recommended diameter of stainless steel cable is 1/8". This cannot be used with flagpoles that come with a M-Winch style.
