What it means, and stands for

I purchased this to be used on an indoor flag pole used at monthly local veterans gatherings. I wanted to honor the passing of Senator John McCaiin a Vietnam POW and US Navy Veteran. I have an outdoor flagpole that I fly Our Flag with the POW/MIA 24/7. The Mourning Bow will be kept at the facility where the veteran gatherings take place for any future memorial service. The veterans in attendance approved of the Mourning Bow.

I ordered 2 bows, one for the US flag and the other for the 'thin blue line' flag. I can not put the flags at half staff so needed a way to show proper respect. They arrived in a timely manner and unhappily went straight onto the flag poles. They look very nice and behave well in the breeze.

Satisfied with purchase

"Since I am flying the flag from a fixed pole I wanted a Black Mourning Bow for the days of half-staff. This bow fits the bill. The sales price was good and the package arrived in a timely manner. Had some creases due to packaging but should come out with no problem. Very satisfied with the product and merchant service."
