Can you hang an American flag indoors?

You can hang an American flag indoors without a stand if you want to, just be sure to follow the rules in regard to proper flag etiquette. This would include things like making sure the Union or blue field of the flag is always on the left and never being displayed backwards or upside down. You also want to be sure that there is nothing touching the flag, that the flag is not draped over anything or that the flag itself isn't touching the ground. Is it illegal to fly an American flag at night?

While it is not illegal to fly the American flag at night, you always want to make sure the flag is properly lit up if you are going to. Proper etiquette with the American flag states that the flag should usually only be up from sunrise to sunset, unless of course you are able to properly illuminate with a fixed light source or spotlight.
