Guinea-Bissau 2' x 3' Nylon Flag

Guinea-Bissau is in Northwestern Africa. The people are farmers, living and working on small family farms. The flag of Ghana, which first used the Pan-African colors of red, yellow and green, influences the Guinea-Bissau flag. The flag features a red vertical band on the hoist side, charged with a five-pointed Black Star of Africa, that represents unity. There are two horizontal bands, yellow on top and green on the bottom, on the fly side. Red symbolizes the blood shed during the struggle for independence, yellow stands for the sun, and green represents hope.
